Case 398

assigned

Report English

Significant signal alterations of the ACL (3/16). PCL intact. Rupture of the medial collateral ligament at its tibial insertion with slight retraction of the distal parts (8/19). Slight fraying of the lateral collateral ligament (8/23). Suspected small tear of the medial meniscus in the area of the pars intermedia (6/16). Lateral meniscus without signal alterations. MPFL normal. Slight diffuse T2 hyperintense signal of the dorsolateral tibial plateau (5/122). Moderate joint effusion. Diffuse fluid accumulation in the subcutaneous fat tissue dorsal/dorsolateral (1001/62 +53). Cartilage lining unremarkable. T2 hyperintense signal intramuscularly at the origin of the soleus muscle (4/24) and plantaris muscle (7/20). Also, to a lesser extent, diffuse T2 signal anterior to the lateral head of the gastrocnemius muscle (7/24). Quadriceps tendon and patellar tendon intact. Suspected high-grade partial rupture of the ACL. Associated bone marrow edema of the posterolateral tibial plateau. - Associated injury of the posterolateral corner with rupture of the soleus and plantaris muscles at their origins with muscle retraction. Possible partial lesion of the anterior lateral head of the gastrocnemius muscle. - Complete rupture of the MCL on the tibial side with slight ligament retraction. - Partial lesion of the LCL. - Suspected small tear of the medial meniscus in the area of the pars intermedia (6/16). No further chondral or meniscal trauma consequences. - Post-traumatic hematoma inter- and intramuscularly. Moderate joint effusion. Diffuse subcutaneous fluid.
