Case 331

assigned

Report English

Suspected suprapatellar joint effusion with partially T2 signal-reduced components, differential diagnosis hemarthrosis. Bone bruise on the lateral tibial plateau (5/18) with associated signal reduction in the PD sequences, differential diagnosis intra-articular tibial impression fracture, additional bone bruise on the lateral femoral condyle (5/22) and slightly on the medial tibial plateau (5/16). No evidence of retropatellar or trochlear chondropathy. The medial patellofemoral ligament (mPFL) and the femoropatellar band are intact. At its femoral attachment, the medial collateral ligament (MCL) shows edema-like T2-weighted signal increase and fiber disruption, differential diagnosis higher-grade partial rupture. Menisci and cruciate ligaments are intact. Trochlear dysplasia with a flattened sulcus angle of 152 degrees. Streaky bleeding in the subcutaneous tissue. The captured muscular structures show no signal alteration. Higher-grade partial rupture of the MCL on the femoral side in the anterior superficial and deep portions. Intra-articular fracture of the dorsolateral tibial plateau without intra-articular step formation. Significant bone bruise on the dorsolateral medial femoral condyle, with a possible additional non-displaced subchondral fracture. Slight bone bruise on the medial tibial plateau. Mild hemarthrosis.
