Case 024
assignedReport English
Bones: No abnormalities in the assessed bony structures. Centered position of the patella, centered femoro-tibial position. Beginning osteophyte formation on the femoral condyles in the medial and lateral compartments.
Cartilage: Patella examination shows focal full-thickness chondropathy line with corresponding to full-thickness thinning of the cartilage covering the trochlea (4/23/18). Focal to deep-reaching chondropathy on the femoral side in the medial femorotibial compartment (5/17, 7/7). Focal deep-reaching chondropathy on the lateral femoral condyle in the lateral femorotibial compartment (5/19 and 7/19).
Menisci: Normal shaping of the menisci. Horizontal tear formation at the posterior horn of the medial meniscus (5/21 + 20, 6/6). No further tear formation. No significant mucoid degeneration of the lateral meniscus, no herniation. No parameniscal cyst formation.
Ligaments/Capsule/Tendons: Intact appearance of the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments in terms of signal and course. Intact appearance of the quadriceps tendon and patellar tendon. Intact appearance of the medial and lateral collateral ligaments, slight irritation of the MCL. Medial and lateral patellar retinacula intact. Moderate joint effusion without evidence of free intra-articular bodies.
Fat Pad: Status post partial resection of the Hoffa's fat pad with slight scar changes without definite nodular arthrofibrosis.
Soft Tissue: Unremarkable, no muscle edema. In the course to 02/2025, rather regressive edema signal subchondral on the medial femoral condyle with a previous image of a SIF with slight cortical irregularity; no newly delineated fracture line on MRI morphology. Increasing chondropathy in the medial and lateral femorotibial joint on the condyles, each focal to full-thickness (5/17 and 5/19).
Increasing chondropathy with focal to deep cartilage defect on the lateral trochlea (4/13) and less on the retropatellar joint surface.
Consistent appearance of the mucoid-altered medial meniscus, with known horizontal tear formation in the posterior horn. No new meniscal lesion.
Cruciate and collateral ligaments intact. Irritation of the intact MCL.
Moderate joint effusion, no free joint bodies.
